Loftware in the news – May 2023: NiceLabel Cloud Designer, sustainability, and the EU MDR extension

May was a fantastic month for Loftware as we secured some great media placements that spanned various topics. The release of Loftware NiceLabel Cloud Designer was covered especially well across multiple regions, while we also saw pickup for our collaboration with Toshiba and SATO. Additionally, we achieved coverage for thought leadership articles and interviews focused on sustainability, the EU MDR extension, the benefits of cloud technology for channel partners, and manufacturing trends for 2023.

#1 Loftware announces NiceLabel Cloud Designer. Towards the end of May, we announced the general availability of Loftware NiceLabel Cloud Designer. This new software release offers small businesses an easy-to-use and secure cloud-based solution that allows them to design, store, and print professional labels in minutes rather than hours. Media outlets including Label & Narrow Web, Packaging Technology Today, Labels and Labeling, and WhatTheyThink covered the news. Additionally, Print IT Reseller, Technology Reseller, and Channel Info featured stories about the benefits of NiceLabel Cloud Designer for channel partners.  

#2 How to make the most of the extended EU MDR deadline. Warren Lesack, Loftware Senior Account Executive, Life Sciences, authored a thought leadership article that explained how manufacturers should maximize on the additional time now afforded them because of delays to the European Union’s Medical Device Regulation (EU MDR) deadline. #3 Cloud labeling’s role in building sustainable supply chains. In a byline published by Packaging News, Loftware’s David Dillon, Global Labeling Solutions Executive, outlines why cloud labeling will become increasingly essential with new regulations and disclosure requirements around sustainability. #5 Navigating cloud marketplaces. Paul Vogt, Loftware VP Partner Strategies, was interviewed by News In The Channel about the benefits of cloud technologies for channel partners. In the article, Paul says that cloud marketplaces are easy to get into for these businesses: “In our experience, it’s remarkably easy because once the software is up there, it has to have gone through the testing and the setup so that when I download software from the marketplace, all the APIs are already set up.” Read more of Paul’s insights here.
