Employee Spotlight: Getting to know Michelle Northey, Chief Product Officer

As we continue to grow and innovate at Loftware, it’s essential to spotlight the remarkable people who drive our success. For this employee spotlight, we’re delighted to introduce Michelle Northey, our Chief Product Officer, who joined Loftware in December 2023. Based in Indiana, Michelle is leading our product with a steady commitment to empowering customers and driving business growth. 

Passion for problem-solving 

Michelle’s journey into the world of product management began with a passion for solving problems. Starting her career in customer service and sales, Michelle developed a keen understanding of customer needs and challenges. This experience paved the way for a transition into product management, where she found the perfect opportunity to proactively address these needs, stating “transitioning into product management allowed me to take a proactive approach to helping customers. By creating products that empower our customers to achieve their business goals, I can make a meaningful impact on their success.” 

A vision for the future 

One of the aspects Michelle cherishes most about her role at Loftware is the boundless potential for achievement. “The opportunities for business growth are well within our grasp,” she says. “I have unwavering faith in Loftware's future and the passion that drives every employee here.” As Chief Product Officer, Michelle is excited to steer our product strategy into an innovative future that aligns with the needs of our customers. 

A day in the life 

In her daily routine, Michelle starts the day by reviewing her calendar and to-do list, ensuring the most critical tasks are prioritized. With a natural talent for organization, Michelle thrives in creating structured plans, whether for a product strategy or even planning a family vacation. One indispensable part of her daily routine is a trip to Starbucks for a trenta black iced tea. “It’s the perfect way to kickstart my day,” she notes. 

Outside of work, Michelle enjoys hobbies like Pilates, shopping, and traveling. Costa Rica is her family's favorite vacation spot! 

Looking ahead 

As Michelle continues to lead the exciting landscape of product management at Loftware, she is eager to meet new challenges head-on. With a vision of pushing boundaries and embracing the “gray”, Michelle encourages newcomers in the field to embrace innovation and stay curious.
